Somebody left their McDonald's Value Meal trash, complete with drink, inside a newspaper rack machine. What were they thinking? This is why I'm glad I don't deliver...

I should take a picture of this billboard and post it, but I haven't figured out how to do that from a library computer and cell phone. Business: insurance. Proprieter: Justin Case. (Isn't that the name of one of Carmen's lawyers?)

In other news, how mentally effed up does someone have to be to not be able to know proper table ettiquette? More than one meal has been ruined for me at the group home because someone decides to try to eat too fast and regurgitated all over the table or sneezed on my food. Once someone even threw their dirty adult diaper away in the kitchen trash can. Exactly WHY have I been sent to this place? I hope I'm out of there soon. I'm already reverting to my inner misanthrope.

I really should apply to get out of there...

Just wanted to let everyone know, that a new version of MemcacheD has been released. We will be rolling this out to the memcache nodes during the week of July 20th to 24th. This should have very little impact on the stability of the website; however users may see a slight increase in load times as the cache is re-populated with entries.

The software has been tested and verified to be working just fine with the application; so we perceive this to be a very minimal risk in regards to updating, and the stability of the website.

It's been a little over a year since we lost Anne. That's still hard to believe.

One of her dearest wishes and constant struggles was trying to get her vampire opus Gideon Redoak published. That book (jokingly referred to as the Endless Saga) went through many revisions and alterations. Anne tried to get it published almost as many times and somehow was never discouraged. She just simply tried again. Even when the market for vampire fiction petered out a little, she still kept going. Finally the book is being published in August by Light Unseen Media. I wish she had lived to see that. Even more so I wish she had lived to see a starred review in this week's Publisher's Weekly. There are a lot of her friends punching the sky and then crying a little.

The past few weeks have been a whirlwind of activity for my family. My brother Dan finally married his fiancee Ivy on June 19, and my brother Tim married his fiancee Brittany on July 11. Almost all of our relatives were in town, so you can imagine the chaos. It was fun, but I'm glad I wasn't the one responsible for the planning.

Dan and Ivy did a simple civil ceremony. Tim and Brittany had the traditional "big church wedding" with double rings, unity sand, and Communion. Tim talked Brittany into giving out custom-made M-and-M's--the wedding date on one side and their picture on the other. Whenever someone commented on the candy, he smiled and said "It took FOREVER to paint those."

Several of my relatives came up to me and said "You're next." I simply smiled and nodded. Hopefully no one decides to play matchmaker...

La langue française de totalité. J'ai pris des Français pour un peu dedans l'école et les ai aimés. La langue est sexy de sa propre manière -- oh, comment je mourrais pour une leçon de langue française encore.

ETA 2: And I forgot Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box is supposed to come out on the same day as Mana-Khemia 2 AND Dark Hero Days.

Fuck.

That makes it seven games.
